Update on the Class C Lassie and MORE PICS!

Greetings, my weirdo rainbow van lovers. The eBay auction is once again up and running: https://www.ebay.com/itm/335508270832 Why did I have to list it again? Unfortunately, the highest bidder was unable to come to an arrangement that worked for everyone. Just as a reminder, to prevent this from happening again, let's formulate a plan to get this motorhome to you BEFORE you bid on the eBay auction. Also, I've set it up to where eBay will prompt you that a $500 deposit is expected within the first 72 hours of winning the auction. So, you have a second chance to nab up this class rainbow van. Just please go and big through the eBay auction to take advantage of the protection offered through eBay Motors. Please also have the money when you bid, and be ready to pay the $500 deposit within the first 72 hours of winning. MORE PICTURES:

Travel Prep Day #4 - Manhattan, KS to Holton, KS

I'd be a fool not to stop at the Oz Museum while passing through: And while I'm there in Wamego, I ought to stop at the Old Dutch Windmill! Followed by some hiking at the Oregon Trail Nature Preserve: For boondocking, looks like I'll have to either call the town or stay at the Walmart in Holton, KS. It's always smart to call the Walmart ahead of time because some Walmarts don't want you spending the night. I experienced this the hard way, with a cop tapping on my door one night trying to boondock at the 8th St. Walmart in Colorado Springs.

Travel Prep Day #3 - Abeline, KS to Manhattan, KS

Staying off the interstate, I will pass by St. Joseph's Historic Church and Cemetery: Followed by the Konza Prairie Biological Station to do some hiking: Some couchsurfers in the Manhattan, KS area but nobody appears to be very active on the site. I will either park in the Walmart parking lot (Walmarts and Cracker Barrels often will let you park overnight in your RV/motorhome!) or go to this boondocking spot found on Campendium and FreeCampsites.net:

Travel Prep Day #2 - Ellsworth, KS to Abeline, KS

The perfect next stop on my adventure would be Abeline, Kansas. How could I pass up the opportunity to see the (former) world's largest spur: Other pins on the town in my Maps are: 1. Seelye Mansion: 2. Abeline Downtown Antique Mall: 3. Museum of Independent Telephony: 4. Lebold Mansion... wow!: ... There is also a place to skydive outside of Abeline. It's been on my bucket list! Look up "Skydive Kansas State" ( https://skydivekstate.com/ ). NOW FOR A PLACE TO PARK OVERNIGHT IN ABELINE, KANSAS: (starting with the resources I check first, and find most reliable) [x] 1. No active couchsurfers in the area [x] 2. No sites in town on www.freecampsites.net [x] 3. No hosts on Boondockers Welcome [x] 4. No free sites on www.campendium.com [x] 5. No free sites on https://ioverlander.com/ [x] 6. No free sites on the app RV LIFE [x] 7. No free sites on the app Boondocking [√] Looks like I'll be calling the town that evening. Maybe they'll let me park overnight at Eise...

Travel Prep Day #1 - Bison, KS to Ellsworth, KS and more!

I plan to be on the road for one month. This will give me a few days at my final destination to figure out my next move, to show the new owners the ins and outs of the motorhome, and gives me some days for wiggle room, in case I have to slow down my pace for whatever reason. This is all very tentative and most definitely will change, but I have fun planning trips so I'm going ahead with this tentative itinerary! I don't plan to veer off course much, but will need to for boondocking spots. As far as adventure... well, I can have adventures anywhere! I find small towns of the USA to be fascinating, and always find things to explore along the way. Do you see all those pins? I've been putting pins on my Google Maps for many years now. Anywhere I go I can find adventure! Any veering off course will be additional gas funds that I am responsible for, and this beast guzzles gas! So, I'm going to try to stay on course, and let adventure come to me.  The first 60 miles from home ...
